Pimp My Garage: Ways to Revamp Your Parking Space

Who says only your kitchen, living room, and bedroom deserve to be designed well? A house’s interior design matters a lot since this gives an overall ambiance and vibe that will reflect on the mood of people. When any section of your home is not organized in such a way that makes you feel comfortable and confident, you know something is wrong. One of the areas of the house that is overlooked most of the time is the parking space. It may not be where the guests stay all the time, but it surely needs to be taken care of. 1.   Create an Entire Wall of Storage

There must be so many items stored in the garage area. Many households stock their old stuff here for years and do not bother cleaning them up. As the pile keeps growing, it gets more difficult to organize things put in the garage. One great way to maximize your garage space is to create a wall for storage. This can be a ladder which can hold tools, garden hose, and even small car parts and accessories.

2.   Double the Function of the Garage

Garage is mostly used as a parking space for your car, but it can be more than that. If you have ample space, the kind where two to three cars can fit in, converting some part of the garage into a home gym is possible. It can also be set up as a home office or a mechanic’s shop rendering services for cars of your neighbors and friends.

3.   Assign Zones

A garage can be more than just a garage. It can also be a locker area where you can store your gravest secrets or entertainment room where you can see TV shows displayed on huge LED screen in the Philippines just beside where your personal car, Toyota Vios from the Philippines, is parked. If the idea of using the garage for multiple purposes sound good to you, assigning zones and dividing the space distinctly will be most ideal.

4.   Add a Pop of Color

The garage does not have to be boring and dull-looking. Especially if you have vibrant-colored cars, it would be nice to paint your wall with beautiful and happy colors that will bring a smile on your face. Try yellow, mint green, or even light pink. Don’t forget to also illuminate the area by installing bright lighting fixtures to provide a good contrast of lively feel in your parking space.

5.   Welcome Kids to Garage

If you have kids who have bikes, whether they are only using training wheels, it will be good to place tape on the floor that will designate the parking spaces of their vehicles. In this way, they will also have a sense of accountability in parking their bikes properly and learn parallel parking in a young age.

You don’t need to be an expert handyman or interior design to build simple and durable wall shelves and redesign your parking space. Simple touches and changes can go a long way when pimping your garage. Think both functional and aesthetics and don’t be afraid to ask help from other household members. It’s what family is for.
