It’s already approaching April; but I’ve still posted things that relate to new year. Sorry, I hope it would be okay with you all. Nearing new year moment every year, it’s a common thing to see vendors with paper trumpets for sale.

The photo was captured near a vegetable market in my husband’s hometown (Bumiayu, Central Java, Indonesia). I like the dragon-shaped trumpets that he carried. Did you buy trumpets for your new year’s night? I didn’t.

I didn't as well. It's amazing how this resembles sceneries back hom (Philippines)...I think we have those kind of horns to blow too! :)
This is the same thing in the Philippines. For me this is safer than firecrackers. Great shot!

Is it a custom to have trumpets? I have never seen one in Sarawak.
