How To Make Space For A Meditation Area

In the highly hectic society in the West, an increasing number of people are now turning to meditation practices and age old Eastern methods of contemplation to ease out the cares and stress of daily life. Meditation offers a huge list of emotional and physical benefits in addition to reducing stress factors. This is why it is important to dedicate some room or space for meditative techniques. Ideally, a quiet place dedicated only to meditation should fairly help in calming one’s state of mind while you are in the process of uncluttering and clearing your mental space. The meditation room should be sacrosanct and surrounded by silence as well as being open and clean so that you would want to take refuge in it rather than it causing you stress, each time you see it.
A few specific areas need to be addressed when planning a meditation room. How do you plan to meditate and where do you prefer to be in silence is an important factor. Would you be comfortable on a chair or be seated on the floor? Would you want to kneel, based on how you would like to meditate in your practice? No matter your preference, you need to ensure that you have a comfortable space to do it all.

If you intend to spend most of your time on the ground, arrange for comfortable cushions or a soft mattress that can help in supporting your stance. If you plan on sitting or kneeling, ensure that you have the right chair or a small bench to use.
One important furniture piece you need in a meditation room is the prayer table. A prayer table becomes the focal point of a meditation room as it contains the necessary and important elements required to help you concentrate while meditating. This space could be an altar of sorts, with photographs of deities, inspirational messages or just a group of candles. By making the prayer table the focal point of your room, it can help you to stay focused.

Decorating any room in the house is always the fun part, but you definitely do not want to clutter up your meditation room with all kinds of souvenirs or paintings. Surround yourself with only the meaningful items that matter to you that can prevent you from being distracted while meditating. Light and relaxing colours work best in meditation rooms, especially greens and blues; do not opt for bright orange or red colours as they can be too agitated or stimulating.
Candles offer natural right and hence are favourite items in most meditation rooms due to the great ambience they provide.

Certain objects that belong to a higher authority are commonly seen in meditation spaces that are useful in bringing in feelings of peace and calmness. These are usually in the form of statutes, photographs and paintings-- anything that is evocative of a grounded and positive feeling. Some meditation spaces also include dream boards that people create in order to meditate on certain aspects and would want to envision them in their lives. A dreamboard could be a large piece of poster board or chart paper with pictures, images or drawings that are reminiscent of one's deepest desires and goals. It is believed that if such boards meditated upon, they will come to you in some form or the other.

Encourage them

Do this by keeping their enthusiasm high in such a way that you let them know that going to school is important and fun that they get to meet new people, gain new knowledge, go somewhere new, eat new food, and become a new student all in all will most likely result into a great experience in their lives.

No fear

Some fear going to a new school or becoming a new student because they have to start from zero again. Remind your child that there’s no need to worry or be scared just because they don’t need to be. Fear creates images in our mind that might ruin the situation by becoming terrified when there’s no need to be, thus, resulting to refraining from doing this, going there, and talking to whom. Keep their guards up and try to remove their fear in letting them know that everything is going to be okay.

All ears

Make time to listen to your child’s stories like rants and insights about their day in school. Doing this will make them feel comfortable with you, as parents, in sharing their experiences towards you. Never neglect listening to them as this enables them to share their daily happenings in school.

Talk to them, too

Even if you have tons of work, businesses, or errands to do, never forget to talk to them as well. When they ask questions, answer them with the best answer you could give. When they’re having trouble, give them a great advice to boost their morale. When they just want to feel loved from their parents, caress them and let them know that they’re so special to you.

“Expect the worst”

Teaching them this tip may be good or may be bad. But it’s important to see the world in a real sense how it’s not always rainbows and butterflies in our mundane lives. Being real teaches them to keep themselves prepared for anything that might happen to them. You just have to ensure that everything’s going to be okay even if the worst might happen.

Hopefully, this article helped you as your children’s parent to enlighten your child as they become a new student in a different school. Enrolling them in the best international school in the Philippines might be a great choice because international schools have a wide range of cultures, so going to one most probably might be one of the best options due to an “open-minded” culture. Decide well and treat them well, hoping for all the best for your child’s future.

June is known as the start of classes, wedding month or the rainy season. There are a lot of beginnings during this month so why not have a celebration and consider getting a corporate catering in Manila? Indoors

Some people just don’t like going out when it rains, so they choose to stay indoors. But how about when you decided to have a party on that rainy day (with weather prediction saying that it will rain the entire day) and you just don’t want to cancel? Here are some suggestions where you can still celebrate indoors.

1.   House/condo
Partying in the house or condo isn’t as bad as it seems, It’s actually fun! You get to have good company and still feel comfortable because not only would your stay be free, you can feel at home as well. Staying indoors is going to be a chill party for you and your friends. Rest assured that you won’t get wet because of the rain. If the rains aren’t that strong, you can just order for a delivery in the restaurants you want.

2.   Club/bar
If you originally planned to have a celebration in a bar, you may have to think twice about this one. The rain is unpredictable when it will stop, so celebrating in a bar may be an ambiguous party for you. Aside from this, if you want to continue your party here, and the venue allows it, celebrate under the rain by having a good time to dance out even if you get wet by the rain. Just make sure that you take a shower once you get home so you can try to avoid getting sick!

3.   Restaurant
This might probably be the chanciest venue to celebrate a party if you plan to stay long. However, if you only plan to go here to eat for your celebration and then leave afterwards, it might be a good choice. Order a huge portion of food for your guests so you can chomp on good food and enjoy with good company.

Outdoors

They said, “If you can’t beat them, join them!” Sometimes, when the rain pours, it pours hard. So if the rain won’t stop and you luckily decided to celebrate it outdoors, you have a huge chance that you can enjoy your party like celebrating in Luxury Condominiums in Cebu!

1.   Resort
Celebrating in resorts is highly popular for most Filipinos. You can just rent an overnight or daytrip in a resort with your guests and bring food with you, and voila, a party! If it rains, you don’t need to worry that much because resorts usually have pools in them so you can swim and have fun under the rain.

2.   Pool
Pools are the essential party tool during rainy seasons. You don’t need to worry about getting wet, because you can just get soaked in the water! Anyone can easily have fun under the rain if they’re on the pool. So this is highly the best way to have a great wet celebration for your party.
