Brothers and Husband

From left to right : Ludi, Rofi (husband), Luki, and Lusman- click to enlarge-
All of my brothers and my husband can gather together is really a rare moment; as they live far each other. About a month ago, we could be together as our father being hospitalized again at one hospital in Surabaya (East Java, Indonesia). After visiting our father, we wanted to take lunch. I captured the moment while they were walking side by side on Raya Darmo St. sidewalk, Surabaya.

Waiting for the Airplane

At the boarding room, inside an airport, my father was waiting for the flight time patiently. He didn’t move from that spot at all.

A Sacred Moment

The most sacred moment in a wedding ceremony is when the groom saying ijab qabul (marriage vows). My husband captured the sacred moment of my cousin’s wedding.

Here Comes the Bride

I don’t remember what the master of ceremony’s saying was; but it must be funny enough to make the bride smiling. It really broke the ice! I captured this moment; just a few minutes before the sacred part of a wedding ceremony will be held.

Cousin’s Daughter

Meet sweet Asti, a cousin’s daughter. Yesterday we visited her home in Bandung (West Java, Indonesia) for having a rest for a while after attending another cousin’s wedding.

It’s my father on the back ground. Today is his birthday. Wish him good health!

A Little Girl Portrait

Meet one of my nieces, Aflah. I captured her cute face while we’re in a fishing place weeks ago. Don’t you like her hair style? Her Mom said that it’s Aflah’s favorite hair style.

Tired Faces

My husband captured it candidly with his camera phone. We were on the train that took us back from Jakarta (capital city of Indonesia) to my city, Bogor. It’s not a long time journey; only about one hour.

The comfortable temperature inside the train turns tiredness into sleepiness. In fact, I didn’t know if my husband took a picture of them; as I also slept along the ride.

Happy Day on the Beach

A fun family portrait. Meet my SIL’s family; this photo was captured when they were on Pangandaran Beach (Ciamis, West Java, Indonesia). Playing with waves is always fun. Look at their happy faces!

My Father In Law

Meet my father in law, Kaseh. It’s a very short name, right? He’s still healthy in his age, eighty seven years old. But he already can’t hear well, I must speak louder near his ear or write down on paper to communicate with him; since he doesn’t like using a hearing aid tool. In his old age, he prefers to live alone at his own home; but he also loves travelling to visit his sons and daughters in Jakarta (capital city of Indonesia). Wish him good health!

Waiting

Just trying to capture three different face expressions here. People say that waiting is a very boring job. Looking their faces, I think these men have the same mind (boring…!).

This moment was taken at Bogor Train Station. They were still waiting for their train while I was already inside another train; taking pictures of them candidly…

A Man with His Mattock

Near the fishing ponds in Kampung Katulampa (Bogor, West Java, Indonesia), there’s a small rice field. The rice plant has just been harvested. With his mattock, this man processed the soil to be planted again.

I added the oil paint effect to this photo. Enjoy.

A Jumping Girl

This jumping girl is Hana, my nephew. Look at her feet, they were on the air! She loves playing on the beach. This jumping moment was captured at Pangandaran Beach (Ciamis, West Java, Indonesia).

It’s my entry for a new photo meme, Weekend Portrait, hosted by Dindin MK. Don’t be hesitant to share your portrait photos there!
