MAHCET
CET is the Common entrance
test which is conducted by the state CET cell of Maharashtra. This exam is conducted to take admission in the
various post graduate courses like MMS ( master of management studies , MBA ( master of business administration , PGDBM ( post
graduate diploma course in business management or PGDM ( post graduate diploma
course in management) in the various
institutes of Maharashtra. The candidates prepare for this examination to
clear it to take admissions in the various courses of the post graduation.
Selection
process
The procedure of
selection for the MAH CET entrance exam 2016 is as
follows –
Ø
Merit Number – the allotment of seats
will be on the basis of the merit number assigned. The allotment of seats will be
for the a). All India reserved seats b). Maharashtra state reserved seats c). J
& K migrant reserved seats.
If the score of the two candidates are same then a
relative merit list is prepared. The preparation of the merit will be as
follows when the score of the two or more candidates are equal:
i.
Preference
will be given to the candidate who has scored highest %age in the standard XII
or any of its equivalent exams will be given preference.
ii.
Preference
will be given to the candidate who has scored highest %age in the standard X or
any of its equivalent exams will be given preference.
iii.
The
candidates who are elder must be given preference i.e. according to the birth date
of the candidates.
Ø
Basis Of Selection – The candidates who want
to take admission through CAP (centralised administration process) need to
fulfil the eligibility criteria. The name of the candidates should be in the
merit list. There will be centralised administration process for the candidates
if Maharashtra. For the direct allotment there will be Round one and two and
the 3rd round will be for the centralised counselling.
Important
Dates
From 12th Feb.
, 2016 the process of registration online will start and will end till 23rd
Feb. , 2016 ( 5:00 pm) for the courses MMS , MBA , and PGDBA etc. The candidates
need to do it as early as possible as it will just be opened d for 12 days.
Only the online form will be accepted. On the website ‘http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mba2016’.
The payments can be done by the candidates online from 12th Feb.,
2016 – 23rd Feb. , 2016.
Application
Fee Payment
For different applicants
the application fee also differs for the MAH CET exam. The various modes of
through which the payments can me made are internet banking, debit card, credit
card, IMPS , cash cards. The payment from any other mode will not be accepted
and moreover it is non refundable. For the general candidates of Maharashtra , migrant candidates of J&K ,
foreign national the application fee is Rs.1000 and for the candidates who are SC , ST, OBC or
persons with disability the fee is 800/-. The candidates must take the print of
the e-receipt.
